Phillips flat head machine screws, also called countersunk or csk screws, have a conical bearing surface so the head sits flush with the material and leaves a flat, snag-free surface. Phillips drive self-centres and allows quick assembly, which makes it the most common flat head screw in appliances, electronics and sheet metal.
Head angles are 82 degree for inch threads; 90, 100, 110 and 120 degree for metric and deep countersinks; and undercut for a flush head with a thread relief. Sizes run M2 to M6 and 2-56 to 10-32 in SUS304 stainless steel, blue zinc and black zinc plated carbon steel.
